"Oh, grey is not a color at all,"
He told me one day.
I figured that'd be something he'd say.
"But it is a color, just so many combined
That it's dull and boring
Look at all the colors you'll find."
"The whole rainbow makes black
And it's still a color
Just stay on the same track."
"Grey is a rainbow in pastel
A sad color.
Can't you tell?"
"Slumping it's shoulders it mopes around
As a tinted white
Soon to be found."
"All the pastels of the world
Green, red, yellow, and more
Heal grey's heart which is sore."
"With all these colors mixed in
Grey picks up it's pace
A little more color in it's face."
That's what I told him that day.
Never again has he told me
"Oh, there is no such color called grey."

As for the contest, it was quite enticing, if not intoxicating.
